Cooled thermal imaging camera is equipped with an integrated low temperature refrigeration device, which reduces the detector to low temperature for operation. This dramatically increases the sensitivity of the cooled thermal cameras allowing them to see day and night at longer ranges than uncooled cameras. The combination of the cooled image core and the ability to work on the MWIR spectrum, allows them to accurately identify targets, even if there is only a few degrees temperature variance between the target and background.
